Workshops & Intensives
Traditional Thai Massage | Thai Yoga | Yoga for Therapy
We are honored to offer workshops and trainings at the Tibetan-Mongolian Buddhist Cultural Center in Bloomington, Indiana. Please use the link above to acquaint yourself with the secluded and peaceful home-away-from-home of HH the Dalai Lama.
Our Traditional Thai Massage trainings (Nuad Boran), Thai Yoga-Reusi Dat Ton instruction, and Yoga for Therapy programs are intensive and meant to help students think outsidethe proverbial 'box'. Unlike larger yoga studios and massage schools, students have the opportunity to study in smaller groups with a focus on in-depth, treatment oriented training.
Below is a listing of upcoming workshops and intensives at the TMBCC in Bloomington, Indiana.
Lodging is available in the winsome retreat cottages secluded in the woods at the back of the 108-acre TMBCC property, or in the upstairs rooms of the Cultural Center. Cottages have drive-up accessibility and ramp, heating and air-conditioning, and a basic kitchenette including mini-fridge, stove, and microwave. The upstairs rooms at the Center share two bathrooms and a large kitchen/sitting area.

Reusi Dat Ton_____
Reusi Dat Ton has been metaphorically referred to as 'Thai Yoga', and is the foundation of Nuad Boran. Once primarily practiced by monks and ascetics, it has with time gone through several permutations. The overall importance of breath and breathing techniques have remained focal to the practice of this ancient form which can be quite simple and gentle, or exceedingly vigorous and demanding as one gains experience. Those with a regular Yoga, T'ai Chi or Qigong practice will enjoy this less-known eastern modality which pre-dates Hatha yoga, and is believed to have origins in the Himalayas.
